Welcome to the Millennium Native Forest Reserve

Discover Our Story

The Millennium Native Forest Reserve is a testament to the vision and dedication of the local community. Spanning over 5 hectares of restored native bushland and wetland, the Reserve was established as part of a millennium project to celebrate the year 2000. The vision for the Reserve, however, began much earlier in 1993 as a community-driven initiative to restore native plants and animals to the area. The aim was to create a resource for the local community and future generations to enjoy, learn from and cherish.
The land, once degraded farmland, has been painstakingly transformed through the efforts of volunteers and conservationists, becoming a thriving ecosystem and a symbol of regeneration and hope. Explore our journey from its inception to today, and learn how community efforts have shaped this incredible natural landmark.
